Hi I had treatment at Institut Marques in Barcelona. Lots of the clinics in Spain are excellent as is Serum in Athens. Goodluck to you! x x
Welcome to FZ! I have a very low ovarian reserve (AMH 1.79 when it was last measured over five years ago). I conceived my first daughter through DEIVF in Spain in 2010 and have since gone on to conceive naturally, twice (I am nearly 40 now) Don't give up, look at all the options available to you and to you. Love Gracie xx
Hi I had treatment at Institut Marques in Barcelona and had three embryos put back. Have a look at Serum in Athens too, Penny has an excellent reputation. x x
Hi I don't know anything about this clinic but check out this link ReproGenesis in Brnu, Czech Republic I would say if you're not 100% sure then please think very carefully about whether you should go ahead as it can be stressful travelling abroad for treatment. Have you looked at any of the Spanish clinics at all or Serum in Greece has an excellent reputation. Goodluck to you! Love Gracie x
Hey I would say get whatever you can on the NHS! Bloods for IVF can be very expensive, your GP can only say no and if you don't ask you won't get. xx
I've been meaning to post a reply for a couple of days but I don't often get the laptop to myself! I had donor egg treatment at Institut Marques and it is an excellent clinic, I don't know much about embryo adoption but can only imagine that the treatment is very similar to that of DEIVF. It's quite a straight forward process probably involving just oestrogen patches and progesterone pessaries, and of course, no waiting list! Spain generally has an excellent reputation regarding fertility treat...
The waiting is really hard isn't it! Will keep my for you. x
Try not to panic, this is quite common and happens to lots of people. I had a bit of spotting with my first daughter and I think that was down to the dreaded pessaries. I know how easy it is to think the worst but try and stay positive and congratulations on your
Thanks everyone! Plenty of magnums to go round, I'll just pop to the freezer...........
................I've just put Poppy to bed for the first time without feeding her. She looked a bit confused but has gone down without a fuss so I guess she is ready to quit too. I am not sure whether to be pleased or upset that she's not bothered! The time has gone so fast, she's not a baby any more but a willful toddler who is full of character and comedy. She is going to be hungry tonight though as she refused her dinner!! I feel proud that I fed both my girls for 18 months, I think it's prob...
Hey It sounds to me like you should have an excellent change in Spain! to you! xx
Hey Hi Fx or similar are good for ordering large amounts of currency and I think you can use them for transfers too. You'll get a better rate of exchange than on the high street. I never considered any special kind of travel insurance! I personally don't bother with travel insurance for Europe anymore as the medical card covers any emergency (be careful getting one of these if you haven't already got one as it is free and there are companies out there who will charge you for it) and our home ins...
I don't know anything about the clinic you mentioned but generally Spain has a very good reputation when it comes to DEIVF. I had treatment at Institut Marques in Barcelona and I had my first daughter thanks to them, although my first cycle was not a good experience (no one's fault, just bad luck and an unproven donor) and we had a second cycle FOC (very long story). So, I guess I would say do your homework and make sure you're 100% happy before you go ahead. Ask for a 'proven' donor so you kno...
Just a quick one as I've got a three year old wanting to play princesses with me. My AMH was 1.79 when it was tested and at the time I ended up having a short protocol IVF cancelled and changed into a IUI as I had just one follicle. Amazingly this worked but I had an early loss. Anyway, you don't want to hear my negative (and incredibly long) story! The upshot was that I had Donor Egg (DEIVF) treatment in Spain, which resulted in my first daughter. However, the point I am getting to is you can ...
I second what Sasha has said, try a straw cup. Poppy took to one well before she was one and she loves straws! Tommee Tippee make a good one that has a valve and it doesn't leak, both my girls have them. It's hard trying to give up isn't it. Poppy is 15 months and I am still feeding her at bedtime AND in the night if she doesn't sleep through. However, I've no idea how much cows' milk she drinks, I just give her a beaker with her meals, sometimes she has some sometimes she doesn't. I give her pl...
Hello Spain are quick, you don't wait long for anything! I hope it all goes well for you. My 3 year old was conceived through donor IVF at Institut Marques so I know what you're going through. to you and if you need any advice please feel free to drop me a line. Love Gracie xx
Neaver - Check out the Donor Conception Network, it has help and advice on all things donor. My first daughter was conceived through DEIVF in Spain and it makes absolutely no difference to me where she started out. She is biologically mine and a few genes make no difference to me at all. I'll admit it was a tough decision though, my husband and I had quite a lot of counselling before deciding to go ahead. xxx
Freya has milk on her cereals in the morning and then a cup with her dinner in the evening, sometimes she asks for more or sometimes she wants juice instead. She's just turned three so may be a bit older. She eats a lot of yoghurt and cheese too so if she doesn't have much milk she's getting plenty of calcium elsewhere. Babybel cheese is packed with the stuff!
Hi I had ED treatment at Institut Marques in Spain, I know they do an embryo adoption scheme too so it may be worth you taking a look at their website. There are lots of excellent fertility clinics in Spain, have a look on our treatment abroad threads. to you. Love Gracie xxx
Cream cheese sarnies are a staple for Poppy! Own supermarket brand versions often have less salt in and it's nice with a bit of jam in too.
