Does anybody know if you have yet to have a ivf referral put in ( my consultant will be doing this in 4-6 weeks at my next appt) weather i could pay for a private cycle without it affecting me getting funding with the nhs. Im keen to get started but dont want to lose nhs funding should my private cycle not work. Im under Oldham PCT thanks lou

thinking of egg sharing

hope you dont mind me joining but im also debating whether to go for egg sharing at darlington whilst waiting for my nhs cycle. My referral hasnt gone in yet though do you know if i went private first this would affect me getting funding for nhs? I called and spoke to the clinics PA today and they said the nhs wouldnt need to know if i'd had a privare cycle, but dont know if this is the case! cheers Lou

Is it true you lose NHS funding if you go private first

i called my pct (oldham) who said that if i pay private now as my referral for nhs has not gone in yet i may not get any funding at all. If i wait for my referral then pay for private this will come off one of my allowed 2 nhs cycles. im so sick of waiting now, i kmow my tubes are blocked so i just want to get on with ivf. lou
