Calcium and Vit D

I got DH some calcium supplements that had vit d included because he doesn't eat dairy so was wondering if these supplements would have a positive effect on his sperm? (He has sperm antibodies)

Sperm Antibodies and egg fertilisation

We had a normal SA and they just said there were lots of antibodies. It was at a fertility clinic rather than a hospital though, the NHS hospital just told us the sperm was bad and nothing about antibodies. Worth the £50 tbh

IUI was an option for us but the cost was the same as IVF/Egg sharing and had a much lower success rate overall. Are you hvaing it on the nhs?

Sperm Antibodies and egg fertilisation

My OH had a repeat SA on monday and found normal count but a high level of antibodies and I was just wondering when we go through ICSI does the antibodies make any difference to fertilisation success? We were given a 40% chance of success at the consultation, slightly higher than the average for the clinic and I was wondering whether this is because the sperm once taken away from the antibodies is actually ok? Or whether its because I am normally fertile?

First during the scan, I was feeling dizzy during it then felt sick and fainted then secondly during the consultation with the doctor while he was showing us the presentation They dont know why it happened, they checked my bp and pulse again and it was low.

I had a scan and they found a follice in the left ovary and the womb lining to be the right size for the day etc. so I am fertile, they didn't get to see the right one as I fainted before they got there I thought they were going to suggest IUI after telling us about the antibodies but said we would have the most success with icsi

Chance of having to use donor sperm

Thanks and glad we have that worry lifted now we know whats wrong with the sperm rather than the last doctor just saying 'its low, you wont conceive naturally'. Now just waiting for blood test results to see if I can egg share!

Chance of having to use donor sperm

An update for those interested we had another sa today and found sperm antibodies rather than no sperm at all and apparently the count is normal so theres enough sperm for ICSI Not sure if the supplements helped as we weren't given any stats.
