best friend just announced 3rd pregnancy - feeling devastated

Hi, my best friend has been round to tell me that a she's pregnant again (unplanned) my other b friend is due on Friday. Me and oh have been trying for almost four years with only a miscarriage to show for it. Just feeling really down and feeling like it's so unfair. We've been doing everything we can to make it happen. Just really need some support and not sure where else to turn. Sorry to rant.

Very tearful and starting to lose hope :(

Hi Lisa, I've read your post and really feel for you. We've just found out that my DF has a really low sperm count (0.6 mil). He doesnt want to tell anyone or for me to talk to others either, so thats why ive come on here to talk. I understand how upsetting it can be to see new mums with their babies, but I try to think that maybe that person also struggled to have their child and they got their wish. If things are getting really bad you could always try counselling, either on your own or as a c...

In need of a bit of a boost :(.... My story

I know what you mean . The amount of friends and family who started ttc after us and now are holding their babies, i'm really happy for them but do feel the same as you - just wish we were also holding our baby. I've been thinking about when i do finally fall pregnant (keeping positive!), that I will try to be a source of hope and support to others, just as im needing from others right now. We have friends and family who know were ttc (just not our recent SA results), and i keep getting 'it will...

Hello!

Thanks Amina and Emmas for your messages. Ive read that they need to do more than one sperm test so assume this is what will happen when we are refered. Ive also heard that we may need to fund treatment ourselves. How long does it take from this stage to be seeing someone who can help? Also would the tests that i assume they would need to do prior ro treatment be on the NHS or would we need to pay? Sorry to ask so many questions but need to know what the way forward is going to be! Thank you to ...

In need of a bit of a boost :(.... My story

Just wanted to say hi! Sounds like you've been on an emotional rollorcoaster. I hope you and your DH get your wish of a little brother or sister for your daughter. I cant make any suggestions of what to do but all i can say is that your not alone. I have two wonderful children by my ex-husband. Im now with a man who utterly rocks my world. We've just been told that he has a very low sperm count. We feel devastated about it. I'm struggling with the conflict of wanting more children and knowing th...

Hello!

Thank you Newly Wed, Just to hear that people have been successful is making me feel so much more postive that we will have a child together. And right now we are doing all we can to make this happen. How many attempts of ICSI has it taken? Also is this on the NHS? XXX

Hello!

Hi Polly Pocket and Jodie, Thank you for your messages. Yes have got DF on the wellman ones. I had quite a search online to which were the best and it seemed that wellman was. The GP was very blunt when DF saw her. She said that she would refer us, but thought as his count was below 1million they prob wouldn't offer ICSI with his sperm and said our best chances are with donor sperm. I felt this wasnt right and set about doing research and have found that there are things we can do, and without f...

Hello!

Hello everyone, I'm new to the site, and was looking for a bit of support, advice from others who are also going through what we are. My story is that I have two beautiful, precious children aged 9 and 6 from a previous relationship. I have been with my current partner (and best friend/ soulmate) for 4 years, and he has no children. About a year ago we felt ready to have a family together so I came off the pill. After 6 months of trying and nothing, I went for a health check, which turned out to...
