Blood screening appointment done. Excited to be started!

Princess definitely hats of to you, I took off from when I started the injections to after test day. I think it was 4/5 weeks in total. I understand having to work but my attitude was I’m going to give this my whole attention and after all I had the attitude I’m only a number at work and it will still be there when I’m done. In saying that if we do it again I would do things differently I think I would take off from egg collection to test day because you never know if it’s going to be a three da...

Any letters re waiting list received?

Hi Mrs 2017 you can delay upto 3 months which I did but there is an option for a month or two . 3 months is the maximum and you can only delay once so if you do it for a month and still can’t do it your back to the start.

Hi Mewsababes If you pay for treatment do you have more of a say ? I had two put in during my NHS treatment due to my age. If we proceed privately as I am 38 I’d like to think it would be my choice and it wouldn’t be annout and out no ....3day or 5day .

Hi Hopeful I’m doing good. The wait is really awful. We are still contemplating our next move on whether to try again or not. If the treatment hadn’t worked we probably would have started again by now but because it worked and didn’t stick.. it sounds awful but I’m so scared of the disappointment again. I always thought I would keep going no matter what but having been through it’s a different story. Good luck with your appointment

Hi hopeful going by your dates you should get your meds on the 5th and start on Sunday but it depends on what their timetable is like . Mines fell the same and they made me wait until my next cycle on day 21 as there was to many people booked in. Good luck hope you get to start next week

RFC, GCRM or abroad for round 2?

Hi Lynn Thank you so much for your reply . I definitely have a lot to think about. I’m waiting on information from access fertility as the girl in GCRM said she couldn’t give me prices over the phone as it was a separate organisation and GCRM only offer the treatment service ?... could you pm me the prices ?

RFC, GCRM or abroad for round 2?

Hi ladies I cannot thank you enough for your replies , it would seem I have a lot to think about. Maisemoo we went private because the NHS review was going to be 12-14 weeks . It cost 150 to be seen and if I had of needed a scan it would have been another 100 . Maisiemoo are you thinking of going again ... if so with RFC? Little Orchard I will definitely be googling my other options and weighing up what might be our next move . Lauren you have hit the nail on the head about the finances lol I wi...

RFC, GCRM or abroad for round 2?

My Time , Thank you so much for your reply . Just wondering did you find GCRM better during the process and if you don’t mine me asking what was your outcome with them ... how many eggs retrieved, Frosties etc. Again thank you , it’s such a confusing time. Dr Adacje was adamant the two places give the same treatment and care ?

RFC, GCRM or abroad for round 2?

Hi ladies As some of you may be aware our first treatment with RFC worked but ended in early miscarriage. I literally started bleeding the day before test day. I though as I I had tested that morning and gotten a strong positive on first response and 1-2 weeks on clear blue digital that this could be implantation but that turned out not to be the case. To say we were heartbroken is an understatement and even now four weeks later I still find it hard to believe this has happened. It sounds strang...

Delaying IVF due to illness

If you are taken of the list the waiting begins again . You will wait up to 12weeks for consultation to get on the list and the list is currently sitting at 10-11 months. All in all it will probably add another year or more onto your ivf journey.

Mrs 2017 thank you so much for your reply. To be honest inside my heart is broken and whilst i’mso grateful to know that it worked I honestly had not thought this would happen . Even now I’m sitting thinking this day last week I was saying three more sleeps to test day.. crazy what can happen in a week. My joy has turned to sadness and I have gone from looking forward to events in the next few months ( when bump would have come along) to absolutely dreading them. On a positive note though having...
