NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hello everyone Sorry have been reading but no time to post! Lovely to read all your news. Ashastar I’m sorry to hear about R - that’s rough. These kids like to test us huh! I hope things improve and you do get to book that holiday. Heather - we also need to move for a good secondary school. It’s so annoying as we are surrounded by amazing primary schools and in a total black hole for secondary. Glad H is getting the support he needs. Am sure P will be legging it around the house very soon! Cheen...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Ah ashastar I’m so sorry, I remember how badly I wanted a sibling for L and I know I was so fortunate that it worked for us. It’s all so raw for you right now. Give it a bit of time and see how you feel but I am sending hugs. So sorry it didn’t work out. A holiday sounds like a nice idea, does sound like things are prett tough just now. Can you call you health visitor for some sleep ideas to help R? Can your DH go to him some nights to give you a break so you can sleep through? Take care of your...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Well done ashastar for resisting!! I’m so sorry I don’t have any real advice about R as the girls have never really done this. I suppose consistency and keep trying to get him to settle himself etc. How is he when you go on holiday? Does he struggle to get used to a new bed then? Has he got a nightlight or a cuddly for reassurance? Heather how are you settling into life in England now? Has H got his next appointments through? As for your DH - men!! Why does he think you need to go the doctor? Fo...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Congratulations on being PUPO! Fantastic news. How are you feeling? Sorry to hear about R - that must be very difficult. Hopefully it’s just a phase? Can he tell you why he’s feeling so upset or I guess he might be too young for that at the moment. X School shut here for two days too but no fresh snow today. I think school is open tomorrow though. L will be disappointed! It’s so icy though I am dreading the walk down the hill to school. DH has man flu so I’ll be on school run duty. I had a two h...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hi all Good luck for Wednesday ashastar!! How exciting. As for the night time I’m afraid I don’t have any practical ideas as my girls have never really asked to get into our bed ( probably because our bedroom is on the floor above theirs so they can’t move between bedrooms easily). I guess whatever you decide try and be consistent. It’s hard in the middle of the night though. Can you let him cry it out a bit? Hard I know. Not much snow here today - I’m also hoping for a lot of snow so I don’t ha...

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hope the visit isn’t too stressful!! I lived with my in laws for some months during building works and wow it was hard!!! Even harder with my own parents though I reckon! Ashastar I think I drank milk during fresh cycle - but for frozen I honestly just tried to chill out more than anything else. I had two frozen cycles when my lining didn’t thicken and I swear it was due to stress as when I relaxed a bit more I got my bfp. Now it’s orobably just me looking back with rose tinted glasses and all t...

I bet you’ll be glad once the tablets start. They made me feel really sick with my last cycle but not on the first one for some reason! Everything is so crossed for you! My poor big girl is ill and has been off school since Tuesday and it’s her birthday tomorrow. Feel sorry for her as we had a trip to London planned today. Hoping she’ll be better for the big day. Then my birthday Sunday and half term to enjoy. What has everyone got planned? Xx

Aw pip - I sympathise. My eldest is always up by 6.30 no matter how late she has gone to bed. E has started sleeping in till 8 if I let her some days!! If only L would do the same lol. The girls might change - E used to be up at between 5.30 and 6.30 until about 4 months ago.

Oh ashastar I’m so sorry to hear aabout your uncle and your illness too. Could you just stop the sniff and start again next month? Not sure if that’s possible - I can’t remember. However as heather says I really think you just can’t tell and some people on here as she says have had awful cycles with a bfp at the end of it all. I really hope you start feeling better very soon xx

NEW PARENT CHAT THREAD

Hello all. Just to say I am reading but no time to do a decent reply at moment. Promise I will!! Heather thanks for the update. Hope you are all settling in now and girls are enjoying school. All the best with H and hope he gets the right appointments etc ASAP. Pip sorry to hear that the girls are causing you stress! Hopefully the novelty will wear off soon and they will sleep in a bit. Ashastar how is the sniffing going? How are you feeling? Hope R is good? Jasper happy belated birthday! Looks ...

Success stories - Advice on the run up to IVF

Hi there I’m lucky to have had two successful FETs. I honestly think that trying to stay relaxed and carry on as normally as you possibly can is the best thing. I gave up alcohol and ate as healthily as I could, and stopped running, but other than that I just tried to stay relaxed. Good luck xx

Ah cheenab you poor thing. So sorry about the car. I hope the garage do the right thing and refund you. Take them to small claims if they don’t. It only costs £60 I think - might be wrong but pretty sure it doesn’t cost much to do it. Hope your doggy is ok too. Poor T. E had bronciolitis too - it’s horrid isn’t it. I’m sure it’ll be a mix of that, teeth and general growing spurt etc. Did Z and F enjoy Christmas? Where are you working now? Nights must be hard with three kids. Superwoman! Hope eve...
