Hi Ladies... Foxxy.... glad to see your back and still with that PMA that we all know and love you for... thinking of you lots and for you. xx Deargod.... I'm sorry to read that your roller coaster has not given you the BFP that we are all longing for. Like you, St Mary's have let me down, when I honestly thought they wouldn't. It only took one of the nursing staff to get it very VERY wrong and pi** me off that I have now made a formal complaint and set the ball rolling via my PCT for a change o...

Gonal F v Menopur

I have had both... Menopur for IUI and gonal F for IVF. I asked why i wasnt put on the menopur for IVF and was told it was because Menopur isnt expected to work as well as gonal F which is why (in my case) it was better to use only for iui as it produced less eggs. resulting in a lower chance of multiples. think I produced one or two eggs on Menopur which is what they were wanting. On gonal F I produced 33 and resulted in OHSS. you would have to ask your own specialist as to why the decision of ...

Thank you ever so much ladies, It really does make all the difference knowing others are on this journey with me. I have decided to make a formal written complaint to st marys. Don't know where it will get me but hopefully make me feel better and make that nurse feel as shitty as I do now. She has been playing with my life by simply not ensuring she made the correct means of contact... **moderator edited** dizzyjane, that's interesting that they only thawed one at a time. the embryologist never ...

Baby names?

Just being nosey.... Kyloe is nice and very unusual, Not heard if it before which is a rarity. Makes him more unique It must be very difficult to choose names, my brother in laws partner recently had a boy, and they made a massive mistake with his name (think they realize that now). All sorts have to be taken into consideration. Kids can be horrible and they will bully any child over a name. you have to think about initials, what their name will be shortened too etc etc. I know I will struggle f...

Metformin - pros & cons??

Hi Waylou, Welcome to FZ, you will find this site extremely useful and if your any thing like me you'll soon become addicted. Like you I have pcos and I've been taking metformin on and off for over a year but continually for over 5 months. Metformin has been called the miracle drug by many and helps to produce better egg quality. The side affects are awful, but do disappear within a few weeks There is a thread on here just relating to pcos and another just relating to metformin that you might fi...

How will I feel after EC, and how long will the procedure take?

Thanks ladies... That's my fate sealed... I will try and arrange a lift. If its any thing like ovarian drilling then I wont be fit for much. Anna, I'm so hoping I follow your footsteps completely. 28 eggs is amazing. have you got lots on ice? I am feeling very positive about it all at the moment.. may be too much so. Just hoping i'm not heading for a fall and shatter these hopes and dreams. Were you convinced it was going to work for you? I think i need to remain in this frame of mind... Mum alw...

How will I feel after EC, and how long will the procedure take?

Hi All, I'm due to have EC at St Marys hospital on Tuesday and would like to know how you felt afterwards. I have to travel a long long way to the hospital and have been getting train and taxi to and from home to hospital. I'm just wondering if I would feel ok to do this after EC or should I be arranging for some one to pick me up? We have to be at the hospital no later then 7.30 on Tuesday morning. How long do you think I will be in there before they let me leave? xx

First IUI

Hi Sam I have had 3 iui's. Unfortunately none were successful for me. However that was down to not being on the right medication for my condition and not that procedure doesn't work. A family member of mine has a little boy from iui, so it can and does happen. The procedure its self is nothing to worry about and pain free.. if you have any questions or queries in relation to it, feel free to ask or PM me. There is a section on this site about iui's have a nosey in there hun. You will come across...

Hello!

Hi Rubyred, This sounds quite 'normal' to me hun.. the more you read other peoples stories and experiences it all seems pretty much alike others. Every bodies infertility issues are very different tho, and we are not all on the same drugs or doses. I am currently on Gonal F like you. My dose is 112.5 as i have pcos, I have to be monitored closely in case i over stimulate. which is common in pcos and its dangerous for any of us to get OHSS. I can feel a little activity going on in my ovaries... H...

hi Debbing 1980, Every ones treatment is different, depending on your problems. Some women wait weeks and weeks for drugs to take effect that shut down the womens hormones entirely so st marys nurses can take over. I started injections on day 3 of period but only after st marys had 3 of my last period dates, and an up to date smear (within 3 years). Unfortunately it is a very long process..... I've only just started my injections after a good few months of blood tests and scans. Again... All is ...
