Anyone starting ivf at Belfast rfc any time soon?

I'm sorry that your private cycle was unsuccessful, Ellen1. Fingers crossed your next cycle works. Its nice to know there are a few of us who will all be going through it at the same kind of time. Might be nice to set up a what's app group or something with anyone who went on the list around may, then we could all keep in touch and help support each other through it all x

Anyone starting ivf at Belfast rfc any time soon?

Yeah, it's a hard part to be unsuccessful at. I worry about that, not getting enough eggs or none fertilizing. I hope all goes well at your appointment on Tuesday and you're able to try again before your nhs cycle, if that's what you want. I actually typed it wrong in my last message, it should have said 16th may that we went on the list x

Anyone starting ivf at Belfast rfc any time soon?

Awww I'm so sorry to hear that JourneyAtoB. That must be tough. Maybe they want you to wait and give your body a change to relax for a while. I'm on the list from 26th of may so we should get called around the same time, I'm thinking around Feb to from what I've read here x

Preparation

I get ones from Tesco - Conception support duo. Has tablets for me and my hubby. They are a bit pricy at £10 for a pack that dies both of us 30 days but they are always on 3 for 2 so that helps and they are cheaper than the other brands. Not sure if it make much difference taking these rather than normal multi vits x

Preparation

I'm trying to get a bit of weight off as 8ve put a bit on over the last year or so, Plus I've been going to the gym and doing yoga which helps my mind as well as body. I'm also taking pre conception vitamins so my body is well prepared when I eventually get my chance. I think that's all you really can do as well as try to relax as hard as that is x

Waiting lists and cuts??

I really can't be doing with all this! I've just been getting over the stress of it all and actually just getting to a point where I'm not stressing about it all as o knew I was on the list and moving forward with it all. Now this is really stressing me out again! Do we have any idea when we'll hear what's going to happen? I'm on the list from May so was expecting sometime around jan/Feb time, but another 5months or more on top of this already long wait (almost 3 years ttc and almost 2 years att...

RFC waiting list times

Cheryl_89, I am so devastated for you! I understand what youre going through, My hubby has always had no sperm in his semen analysis, though they did find some through a biopsy but it must be so hard to get that far and be let down. Good news about your eggs thiugh. Fingers crossed everything works out for you xxx

RFC On waiting list from May 2017

Lee1234, could you ask the clinic if there's a way to postpone the treatment for a month if it fell around your wedding? They may be able to do that, people do need to get on with their lives. If you had a holiday or something booked you'd need to be able to postpone and a wedding is bigger than that. I know waiting longer is the last thing you probably want but at least you could get on with your life in the mean time x

RFC On waiting list from May 2017

That really sucks, Anniebell! I hope you get some doner sperm soon. I thought we might have to use diner sperm too as all my hubbys semen analysis had zero sperm, thankfully they were ablr to extract some sperm surgically but I do understand how hard it must be too come to terms with it all and to have extra waiting time on top of that must be so hard. Fingers crossed the doner sperm comes through quickly for you x

RFC On waiting list from May 2017

Hi Lee1234, we are on the list from May and were told around 6-9 months for the waiting list. From what I have read on here I think it'll be 6-9 months until you get the letter then it seems to be another few months until you actually get to embryo transfer. I don't really know for sure though. The waiting really is the worst part of it all! So far we have been waiting for 3 months and it already feels like it's been a year x

RFC On waiting list from May 2017

They can retrieve sperm surgically and fertilise the eggs using ICSI so its not too bad, just means that there is 0% chance of it ever happening naturally. Fingers crossed that they both stick for you and wishing you a healthy and happy 9 months x

RFC On waiting list from May 2017

Congratulations, allthatglitters! I've never had a positive pregnancy test either, no chance of it happening naturally for us as my husband has a blockage. I can only imagine your joy of actually getting that positive! Can i ask did you go though the nhs for your treatment? We were told that they would probably only transfer 1 embryo at a time, I'm just wondering why you had two implanted. I've seen a few other ladies here saying they had two implanted just wondering if it's more common that the...

Waiting lists and cuts??

Thanks Mrsr2017, it's good to hear that. It really is a shame for you and others that aren't on the list. Here in NI, we get the raw end of the deal anyway as other areas in the uk get 3 full cycles and we only get 1 plus a frozen transfer. Fingers crossed it doesn't go through and we all get our chance soon x

Waiting lists and cuts??

I hadn't heard about this until i read your post but I've looked it up and read a few articles and I think it sounds like new patients means any one who hasn't already been refered to the rfc. I would say of you are already on the waiting list for ivf/icsi then it won't affect you. Or maybe it's just wishful thinking as I'm on the list and hoping to be starting ICSI in the new year. I would say they would have to let us know if anything was affecting us x
