Saying Thank you & bye.

Hi Girls. I just wanted to say thank you to you all who supported me over the past few years. They have been the most challenging years of my life and the support I got here has helped me to get through the bad times. I wish you all the best in the future. I will be popping back from time to time but I just don't have the time to keep my diary up to date. Lots of love and BFP to you all. Take care xxx

Thrush :(

Louise all the girls said is a great advise. I suffered with it for weeks and it was agony so I do feel for you. I went to see my local BF consultant in the hospital - she gave me all the info I needed about the drugs to ask my GP for and because it was coming from her the GP was happy to prescibe it. Or if your GP is not very helpful - can you go and see another one - maybe a women - she might be a bit more sympathetic. What worked for me was to keep my boobs cool - no bra around the house but ...

Has anyone found a clinic in any country at which IVF including medication cost less than £2,500 - £3,000?

You might want to look at Reprofit in Brno in the Czech Republic. Please note the price list is in Euro's so you will need to do the math. Hope this helps. xxx REPROFIT INTERNATIONAL s.r.o. | IVF Treatment | IVF Price List

Hungry baby formula

First of all huge congratulations on the birth of you baby boy I have been using the hungry baby formula for about 3 months and both babies seem happy with it. The SMA make is suitable from birth and does not contain any extra calories per feed so your baby will not get fat on it - it just takes longer to go through their system. I would say if your baby boy is more content on it that I see no reason why you could not give it to him. Take care hon xxx

finger eating/swaddling at night/startle reflex

Hi My twins have been swaddled from day one and even now we are still using a swaddle at the age of 6 months for the same reason you have described - constant finger eating. The swaddle we use is the LOVe to swaddle up - Love To Dream - Love to Swaddle Up is the original & innovative swaddle that allows your baby to sleep in their natural position with their arms up - Find out more from Cheeky Rascals and it works great. They can't wiggle out of it as it has a zipp. Take care xxx

Acupuncture and accomodation in Brno

Hi I can't help with the acupuncture question but we had a treatment in Brno and we stayed in a hotel which is a walking distance (0.5 miles) from the clinic and also resonably priced. It is also a walkable distance from the town centre but you can also take a tram or a taxi if you don't feel like walking. Hotel information Hotel Orea Hotel Voronez 2 Address Krizkovskeho 49 Brno, 603 73 Czech Republic Phone +420 543 142030 E-mail voronez2@voronez.cz Hope your treatment goes well. Take care. xxx

im another newbie having a really tough day!!

Hi Dani. I am sorry you got BFN today. IVF is a rollercoaster of emotions and I think everybody feels the same after a failed cycle - devastated and so low. Give yourself time to recover before you make any final decisions. Have lots of cuddles with DH, nice glass of wine, open a box of chocholates and go and do things you could not do in the past few weeks. And when you are ready, talk to DH about what to do next. You had a good number of eggs. The fertilisation rate could be increased by using...

Shopping for newborn twins & what to pack into the hospital bag?

Hi girls. Thanks again for all your advise - it all has been noted - especially the toilet paper, as I have a very sensitive bottom Girls have any of you bought a nappy bin for your twins dirty nappies? Or do you just use normal bin? I was just thinking that with the number of nappies I probably will not want to run out of the house to put them in the outside bin all the time (especially at night) and putting them in the kitchen bin might not be very pleasant. Any tips on that? The one nappy bin...

Shopping for newborn twins & what to pack into the hospital bag?

Thanks girls all the info above has been very helpful and I have now started little bit of shopping for the twins . Fuzzy bee - I am not sure it this one qualifies as trendy / stylish but this is the one I have ordered = Skip Hop Double Duo Bag £79.99. It fits perfectly with our double pushchair. It has extra clips so it does not swing around too much hitting the back of the double pushchair. Looks spacious, lots of pockets, includes a changing mat ... Shopping for newborn twins & what to pack into the hospital bag?

Thanks Taxi & Moonshine - all helpfull stuff. Did you girls find anywhere where you can get cheap (cheaper) premature nappies? I thought Tesco was selling them but I look today and could not find any. Do you think it is worth buying premature size clothes or shall I just get the newborne stuff? How quickly do they grow at that age?

Shopping for newborn twins & what to pack into the hospital bag?

Hi girls. I am 23 weeks pregnant with twins and have been now wondering for few weeks what I should be buying to be ready for when they arrive. We have put a deposit down for a pushchair, 2 carseats, nappy bag, couple of footmuffs but that is it. We are planning to get the cots & mattresses in January but otherwise I have not bought anything. And I am really unsure of how much clothes and what type do I need to get for them + what other stuff is a must? Also how much and what do you take with yo...

** SECOND TRIMESTER CHAT **

Happy New Year 2012 to you all. Hope you had a relaxing Christmas. I ate well too many Christmas sweets but hey it is Christmas Back to work on Tuesday. It seems a bit strange that I might have only 2 or 3 months left at work. Today has been a rainy day here down South so we spent it mostly on the sofa watching TV, doing bit of house work and eating more food . Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit better so we can get out for a walk. Take care girls and all the best for 2012.

ICSI for 0 sperm count??

Hi, I am not sure how would that work with 0 sperm. You need at least 1 sperm to do ICSI /preferrably few more. So my guess is, if the sperm count is extremely low, they should suggest a surgical retrival of the sperm, which is usually more successful than the standard metod. I would go back to the clinic and try to understand how are they planning to obtain the sperm and how many they think they might get = does 0 really means 0? Good luck.

Amber what might help for your stuffy nose and maybe even the headaches is inhalations before you go to bed. You can get the Vicks VapoRub and put a tiny bit in hot water and inhale it of 10 min. It is pretty strong stuff so only use a small spoon of it. You can also use it as a rub on your chest - it does smell a bit to other people around but also does the trick . What also helps is to get one extra pillow so you sleep higher, which make is a bit easier to breath. Hope you feel better.

** SECOND TRIMESTER CHAT **

We had our 20 weeks scan yesterday. And it is a girl and a boy . We are over the moon. The scan went really well. Both babies are healthy and active. Baby boy is a bit more chubbier and the only concern was that his belly was slightly on the larger side of the scale, which could mean risk of diabetes (for me I guess) but otherwise all was great. I actually had tears in my eyes when she told us the second baby was a boy. I am so so pleased that they look healthy. One of the little monkeys have ke...

** SECOND TRIMESTER CHAT **

Thanks Mim , it is just so difficult to know how things should be and what is the right thing to feel and what is wrong. Couple of times I woke up on the morning and my belly was very uneven (totally freaked my DH out). I think one of the babies must be positioned on the top of my bladder so when I am too full my belly looks really funny.
