** THIRD TRIMESTER CHAT **

Just checking in on you ladies and hope you are all doing OK Wannabe - my itching wasn't liver issues, but you are best getting it checked. If it is PUPPPS as I had, get a referral to a dermatologist if you can GP's don't in general know how to treat it! You have so much to look forward too, twins are hard work but so so special! Cindy - hope you don't have much longer to wait! Dusky good luck for Friday! Shellebelle sorry to hear about your diabetes, but I like the sound of your new breakfast! ...

The lack of sleep in a killer isn't it Dusky, I've stopped counting too depressing! In between itching I was being sick all night, kind of like chronic heartburn. I think baby boy has dropped pushing baby girl in to my stomach, I would be so grateful to go in to labour any time now! Shellebelle - enjoy John Bishop I am very jealous! Cindy - thats good news that your scar isn't anything sinister, hope your back ache / stomach is better, have you tried peppermint tea? Louise - 4 sleeps now! Had my...

Hello Everyone! Wannabe those are great weights! I asked today how accurate twin weight estimates are and they are within about accurate so they should be really good weights in 4 weeks! Louise - how was your pre op? I had mine today, all feels very real now, I'm back tomorrow for blood tests and another shot of steroids. Not the best time for you to be travelling to a wedding, but at least it will keep you busy so the weekend will fly over! Dusky - glad you have a date, how are your diabetes ch...

Hello 11 days to go and counting! My liver is fine - but I'm still itching, just must be my skin stretching, I didn't think it was possible that I would get this big. The midwife told me I looked like I'd swallowed a giant beach ball and that if I go in to labour before the 1st I'll have to get to hospital quick as it will be like a balloon popping! Wannabe I know what you mean about hips leg and ribs hurting, I can sleep for about an hour and a half max now, before the pain wakes me and I have ...

Hello Ladies, Cindy - sounds like you had a lovely night out! Like you I keep thinking about how I'm going to manage with the twins and my DS once my mum and MIL aren't around to help as much, I'm sure we will work it out though. PR - glad you and your boys are doing well! Bereka - I am with you on the swollen and indigestion, my hands feel so achy - do yours go numb too with carpel tunnel syndrome, I wake up with pins and needles in my hands and if I drive for more than ten mins the same thing ...

NCT AnteNatal Courses

Hi I agree with the other two, I made friends for life through NCT, in fact I went out for lunch with 6 of them yesterday who I met nearly 6 years ago. I did go to the NHS classes too, but they were very basic and slow paced and my husband refused to go back after the first one so we didn't, the only advantage is that they do include a hospital tour which is worth it. I've been to TAMBA and NHS twin courses this time both of which were excellent. Enjoy your class! RM xxx

Hello Everyone Wow Dusky 6.5 lbs at 31 weeks - its a good job you are having a section! I think they are quite accurate at calculating the weight within a couple of ounces anyway. Louise - the same date, at least we both know three weeks tomorrow and our little ones will be here! Sounds like you have made the best choice for the baby and might he turn on his own in the next few weeks? PR - thanks for your comments, I spoke to a mum from school today who is also a midwife with her own set of twin...

Hello I have my section date Monday 1st October, steroid injections the Wednesday and Thursday of the week before. I had a good cry at the consultants, just the reality that a natural birth isn't really an option for me - I also got signed off from the clinic, first time in three years I don't have an appointment pending there! The reality is settling in that it really is nearing the end of my journey, as Bereka said its not just the last eight months its the last four years! Bereka what a great...

Hello Everyone Louise - glad your bag is packed and ready and you have the option for a natural birth. My two are head down, but I'll be sticking with c section (I think!) Wannabe - only one more full day tomorrow at work for you! Dusky - how are your ankles, mine are a bit puffy too, am living in flip flops hope the weather doesn't change! Claire - have you finished work now, not long to go! PrincessR - How are you doing, just 6 days to go? Hope you are OK? Bereka, Cindy and others how are you?...

Low Placenta in twin 1

Hi Suzy Congratulations on being pregnant with twins. At 20 weeks the lower of my twins placenta was lying over the cervix, they didn't make a big deal of it and just said it would probably have moved by 24 weeks and it had, so hopefully yours will too! I don't think it is common for the placenta to be over the cervix by the time of delivery, but is is common earlier in pregnancy. It is worrying carrying twins there are so many more checks, but I've found midwives in the community and at the hos...

Hi Dusky Definitely do pelvic floor exercises, I've been using my ball too, just cos its comfy, I wouldn't bother with the perineal massage unless you might have a natural labour? RM xx

Welcome Wannabe, I'm glad your now here with your double bump - my little boy actually thinks of my bump as two and kisses either side of it! Sounds like you are pretty organised, I've just washed all the baby stuff and sorted in to drawers - I can't believe the difference in size between different shops for newborn and have picked out the littlest for my hospital bag. Well done for keeping going at work, not long to go! Jewels - congratulations, beautiful name! I hope you and baby are doing wel...

Happy weekend everyone - it has rained here all day, is this the end of summer? I hope not! Lou, Dusky - I've been having quite a lot of BH, they aren't sharp though more like a massive tightening that squishes the air out of my lungs. Cindy I have the same problem with clothes the get my bump to fit means the chest and shoulders are too big, with regular or maternity clothes. I'm mainly wearing stretchy jersey dresses, I've even grown out of my beloved leggings. Wannabe - are you joining third ...

Hospital Bag List

This is a great list! One extra thing if you have other children of an age to get jealous, pack a few little gifts ready wrapped to give them. I've got some cheap book collections from the Book People and wrapped one for each night of my hospital stay, hopefully not too long after the c-section and I can read DS them as his bed time story once he's opened them RM x

Clomid

Hello Tinker, welcome to FZ! Great news that you have ovulated on your first cycle of clomid! Unfortunately for me my PMS signs were no different to early pregnancy signs, it may be the same for you. At 10 dpo I'm pretty sure I would have got a negative test as at 14 days I only got a very faint line which grew stronger over the next few days. I think it is probably too early to say either way, I know the tests say they can tell you everything very early, but even when I was pregnant I at 14 dpo...
