nhs funding and moving areas

I have my appointment to see the Dr next friday. I have already had 3 attempts on the nhs and I know the clinic that I would be referred to in the new area only allows1 nhs try, so I'm guessing the answer to another try will be a NO. I am going to ask anyway. I'm not sure if I would go through it again as it's such a painful process but thought it would be a good way of testing myself. If the option was there, how would I feel then? I need to know for sure if adoption is the next step and I thin...

Low Motility - pregnant naturally

Hi, I have just replied in your other post too. My Dh had a few samples tested and some of them showed slightly below average motility, his count was ok but they like the motility to be 50% or above and his was something like 40%. I tried to get him to eat lots of fruit and veg which he doesn't usually eat and asked him instead of having a can of lager each night with his tea to have water or juice and to just have one or two cans at the weekend. I also asked him to take wellman conception vitam...

Miscarriage after icsi

Hi, I am so sorry you are one of those ladies going through this traumatic time. Take the time to be kind to yourself and grieve in the way you know how to and try your best when you are ready to re-focus and try again. I know how you are feeling. I have had 3 ivf's. 1st -bfn, 2nd -bfp and 3rd -bfn. I thought everything was ok when I got my bfp 2nd time round until I went for the usual early scan at 9weeks to be told there was an implanted sac but no embryo. I had 2 further wks of the unknown un...

nhs funding and moving areas

Hi All, I have had my allocated nhs funding in Manchester which have all been BFN and since having these treatments I have moved to a different area completly, is there any chance of being allowed another nhs try with it being a different pct...? I am thinking it's unlikely but thought it was worth checking out...?! Jilly-bean.xxx

Money Worries- Are we alone???

Hope you don't mind me commenting on this thread. Just to let you guys know, that I am in a very similar situation. Every month we go into our overdraft of up to £300 a month into it, trying to pay off loans and credit cards. We both work fulltime but both have a fair way to travel (both doing night shifts) so we need 2 cars. The only difference for us (which is a big difference and quite scary really) is that we don't even have children yet so things can only get worse. We do have far too many ...

still waiting...

I am still here in the background, patiently waiting......Still no signs of conception yet.....I havn't been on here much at all. I have been busy trying to be settled job wise, trying to be comfortable money wise too. Life seems so boring at the minute, not been on hols for 4yrs,not even a break away, nothing to look forward to,not even been out for drinks or a meal. We really are stuck in a rut....! I keep praying and wishing things will change one day but no signs of it happening any time soon...

Back to the drawing board.....

Thanks for replying Gemma, I'm not really sure what to think. The impression I get is that the doctors wont do anything about it until I have had 3 consecutive miscarriages which is quite destressing to think I have to loose 3 babies before they are willing to take any action( in which don't ever come easy to me. I know for any woman it's destressing to have a m/c but for women that have fertility issues and struggle to conceive I feel it has to be much harder for them)....how fair is that....It...

trying naturally, when are the best times to try on a 28d cycle ?

Hi MrsK, You will always ovulate 14days before your af is due, so if you always have 28day cycles you will ovulate on day 14 of your cycle, look outfor the egg yolk consistency discharge around day 10-14 as this is a sign your body is getting ready to ovulate. Good luck..... Jilly-bean.xxx

Back to the drawing board.....

Hi All, Well after what feels like a full circle I am back to TTC Naturally again. We had been TTC 2.5yrs with no luck, then when we had our 1st Ivf...We went through 3 in total and still no baby in our arms......The 2nd Ivf resulted in a BFP but ended quite soon. In May.....4mths after our last IVF I had a natural BFP, I was in shock but obviously quietly happy but couldn't get the thoughts of too good to be true out of my head.....which of course I was completly right as I went on to have anot...

Another heartbreaking day yesterday

Yesterday was another emotional day. The scan revealed a pregnancy of around 6 weeks ( I should have been 7 weeks) with a beating heart. I could have cried it was so lovely to see but my hopes where dashed in minutes. My hcg results had dropped to 1768 and bleeding got heavier. I have not stopped bleeding, I don't think I have passed the baby yet but I'm guessing it's inevatible and it's just a matter of time. I have terrible period type pains. I can't stop thinking about that poor little embryo...

hcg results - please help, worried sick!

Had my bloods redone today and unfortunately not much development. A week later they are now 2053 so not even doubled in a week. I have a scan booked for Monday but looks like this is going to end the same way as last time! The mental pain is so severe. Why again? I just knew something was wrong and felt ike no-one was listening! Jilly-bean.x

New job and early pregnancy

Thanks Ladies, Much appreciate your responses. I have just tried ringing citizens advice but can't get the option to speak to anyone about my personal situation. Has anyone rang them recently? What options did you choose and did you get to speak to anyone? I eventually chose a different option and that didn't work either! So I'm no nearer really but hopefully I will go on the fact I may be entitled to Maternity allowance! Jilly-bean.xxx

New job and early pregnancy

Hi All, Can anyone help me on this one? There is a possibility I may be changing jobs. I had an interview just over a week ago and have a 2nd interview on Wednesday. I really want the position as it's so close to home and will be better all round as I will be spending so much less on travelling and will actually be able to come home every night. I think I am almost 6 weeks pregnant but so far my TTC history has been a long one and last September I had a miscarriage after a 3rd round of IVF. So I...

hcg results - please help, worried sick!

Thanks Ladies, Yes I am having another bloods done on friday all being well and I do realise it would be better 2-3days apart but with work/home life it's not possible to go before friday and I already had this midwife appointment booked and my dr's secretary seems to think the midwife will recheck by hcg levels. My concern started when I used the clearblue digital and it still said 2-3weeks a week later than the original test which said 2-3weeks and this is exactly what happened on my previous ...

hcg results - please help, worried sick!

Thanks for quick reply Curly tails. I am sure I ovulated when I did as I had the pain I always have and the egg white (sorry tmi) I ovulated on my right side, I have no idea when it would have implanted though. I have got my self in a state over this. I have a midwife appointment on friday when I'm hoping to have them rechecked if nothing bad happens before then. Jilly-bean.xx

hcg results - please help, worried sick!

Hi Ladies. I have a history of infertility and have had one miscarriage. I have had a shock natural bfp which is wonderful news but because I was so anxious I asked to have my hcg blood checked. I haveonly had one single bloods and I realise that this is not conclusive enough without a second one to compare but I am so worried as it seems very low. If this is going to be a repeat miscarriage I want to know now. I had my blood taken at 25 dpo and my level was only 1652 So scared, Please can anyon...
