NATURAL IVF

I was told it is because the most expensive part of the process is egg collection and it is the same reagardless of number of eggs. However if you are paying privately and you find the right clinic they should be able to do it for you. Have doctors also considered short protocol for you? Best of luck! xx Rianon

Waiting/not started treatment thread

Hi, What a great thread - I remember all that anxious wait with nothing to do really, except to live so healthy that it became an office joke how healthy I am and others wanted to copy Oh and I also remember always having to look up all the abbreviations! xx

Breastfeeding pain - HELP

A lot of women have breast fed succesfully from just one breast. If you want you can keep the other going with pumping until you feel brave enough to try. But I heard a mum say that first time she struggled to breastfeed from both sides, 2nd time just went with the "easy" side and was a lot happier :-) xx

Breastfeeding pain - HELP

Oh no sorry about your thrush, shame they did not diagnose it earlier. Hope it's healed soon. Don't be too sad about some formula, if you keep your supply going with pumping you can work it back up once you are healed. Very strick breasfeeding advocates say once you start giving formula your supply will diminish. However if you know what you are doing (e.g demand and supply) you can just work it back up with more frequent feeding and using less and less formula. I am sure if she reads Rene can e...

Breastfeeding pain - HELP

Hi, Sorry for your pain, it does sound like the latch. When do you have the good times and when the bad ones? Is there any pattern to it? What did the HV say? xx

A newbie.. PGD & male factor RT 13,14

Hi, Sorry not sure what a trf is? Just to make sure I am not telling incorrect things, here are the details: cycle-1: embryos biopsied on day-3, two replaced on day-4 at morula stage, little girl born! cycle-2: embryos biopsied on day-3, two replaced on day-6 but still not have reached blastocyst stage (should be at day-5), bfn cycle-3> embryos biopsied on day-3, two replaced on day-5, one was a morula the other 8-cell, little girl born! So yes, no blastocysts in the lab although they did grow a...

A newbie.. PGD & male factor RT 13,14

Hi perrie, Not sure if it helps but we also had PGD (not RT 13,14 though) and we had a different protocol, as our embryos were biopsied on day-3. Would that be an option for you? We went with CRGH in London and they do day-3 biopsy with every PGD patient I think. I am aware blastocyst biopsy is an option too as we were looking around other clinics and we were offered blastocyst biopsy elsewhere - for the very same condition!! So it might just depend on the clinic. I also had concerns about our e...

My IVF even messed up my EWCM so unfortunately nothing is sure during treatment. Do you have any frozen embryos? If so natural FET might be an option for you as that does not mess with your body so much. Big hugs xx

Poo!

Hi, Regarding the pain - have you tried completely different feeding positions - like the rugby ball hold (just google it: breastfeeding rugby ball position - images). It was the solution for a friend of mine so definitely something to try. Glad to read about the poo - guess it was huuuuge. Yes strangely normal up to 10 days to go without if breastfed.
