Hi

Welcome and also wish you both lots of luck with your IVF. Hope it goes the same way it did for Heather's friends. Do they use fresh donor sperm for IVF then? I've not heard about frozen sperm not being as good. So many people go abroad for tx these days and so often the males sperm is frozen ready for tx. Good luck on your journey…hope it is a short one from now on

We are here to listen to you and as they say a problem shared is a problem halved With the ivf, what are you worrying about? Is it anything particular or just not really knowing what i...

6 weeks 6 days empty sac

It's an awful thing to go through. I've been there too. But at the moment you still have hope that the Dr is right and you just have a slower implanter, sometimes they can;t see everything clearly until after 7 weeks anyway. some clinics don;t do a scan before then, even. I'll be keeping everything crossed that to works out well for you hun. Do you have to return for another scan in a week?

New Member seeking some advice

Welcome to FZ :-) I think a natural cycle will give you only one embryo to play with and a medicated cycle will (hopefully) give you a fair few more, which in my opinion at 43 (I'm 41!) will give you more chance of having success. Not all eggs will fertilise, not all fertilised eggs develop normally and you want to maximise your chance of having an embryo of decent quality to transfer, as even making it to transfer doesn't guarantee it will implant. For example this cycle I've just done, I had 1...

Gonal F vs Merrionel?

Hi Ginger, have you had your AMH tested? As that will give you an indication of ovarian reserve. Xx

Gonadotrophin Injections

Did you call them? You can probably get some more if you've run out. often they give you less in the first place so a whole pen isn;t wasted if opened and not used. Doesn't sound long until Ec though Good luck

Gonadotrophin Injections

are you doing iui or ivf? regardless if its gonal f, there is always a little bit of drip/blob after, even if you keep in for 10 seconds ..dont worry , you are doing everything right. as long as it has gone to zero you are fine. There are many places on here for support. If you are cycling with ivf or even iui there are cycle buddies boards - you would be november…so go to main page on the forum and find cycle buddies and november and you will find lots of people at the same stage as you…we are ...

Change in egg number on icsi #2

Hi Hun, I just wanted to say that my DS comes from 6 eggs and 4 fertilised. Since then I've had cycles with many more mature eggs, but no BFP!! So more eggs doesn't equate to a baby and vice versa. I so pleased to read that 5 out of 6 fertilised. Way a great rate Xxx

Anyone had more than 2 children from separate IVF cycles?

Polly I love the way you explained that. I am trying hard to get number 2 but if I was younger (and rich) I'd keep going for 3 as in my heart I'd love 3. However I know the reality is likely that I just have the one Rianon, of you can afford to and can persuade DH, I'd say go for it. It's the most natural thing in the world to feel for many of us.
